Features of the job description for working in a store
Retail outlets constantly receive goods, sell products and remove waste. They require workers who can juggle multiple tasks during a shift.
The production tasks of an employee in a store differ little from the job responsibilities of a loader in a warehouse and include:
- Cargo handling.
- Warehousing and movement of goods across the territory.
- Assistance in packaging products (gluing or assembling containers).
- Performing auxiliary work as directed by management.
IMPORTANT!
The duties of a loader in a store must be carried out carefully. The storekeeper is responsible for possible damage to the integrity of the packaging when moving goods.
Responsibility
The loader is responsible: - for the consequences of decisions made by him that go beyond his powers established by the current legislation of the Russian Federation, the charter of the enterprise, and other regulatory legal acts; - for failure to fulfill (improper performance) of their official duties provided for by these instructions, within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of the Russian Federation; - for committing an offense in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of the Russian Federation; - for causing material damage and damage to the business reputation of the enterprise - within the limits determined by the current labor, criminal and civil legislation of the Russian Federation.
Necessary measure
Beginners or inexperienced managers sometimes believe that it is not necessary to draw up instructions for their employees and that this should be done only because the law requires it. This opinion is wrong. This must be done only for workers of certain categories:
- private security companies;
- those involved in the production and processing of milk and dairy products;
- health workers and pharmacy employees who sell medicines.
These businesses have nothing to do with loading. For others, instructions are needed to simply limit the list of functional responsibilities.
If the organization has loaders on staff, then it is advisable to draw up such a document for them. Otherwise, this entire list will need to be entered into the text of the (employment) agreement or contract. You can list specific responsibilities or use a standard list. In accordance with Russian legislation, the loader performs the following job responsibilities, which are listed in one of these documents. It is based on these that the range of responsibilities for each employee will be determined.
Requirements for loaders
Since there is a high risk of injury in this work, the loader needs to think through and organize his work so as not to damage the cargo and avoid accidents. Employers have quite high requirements for candidates for this vacancy. For example, employees who are hardy, sociable, responsible, attentive, able to bear financial responsibility for the safety of products, as well as those who do not have bad habits are valued.
The responsibilities of the loader include compliance with logistics rules. The manager of the company is interested in ensuring that goods are delivered to the appointed place on time. For coordinated work, it is necessary to choose the optimal delivery route, follow the rules of packaging and loading.
So, the work of a loader is always in demand in any production and warehouse. His accuracy, attentiveness and organization contribute to the operational activities of the enterprise.
Working conditions
The conditions under which loaders perform their job duties are one of the additional points of the instructions. Such information may be indicated in the general provisions section or entered separately.
The paragraphs in this section reflect:
Place of performance of labor functions;- Work schedule;
- The procedure for performing work outside warehouse premises;
- Main types of cargo;
- Types of equipment used;
- Personal protective equipment provided.
This section may also include items reflecting a list of conditions under which the contents of the instructions may be revised. As a rule, this happens when an enterprise is reorganized or new methods of labor organization are introduced.
Purpose of the document
A job description is one of the administrative documents. It contains information reflecting the specifics of the employee’s work.
The main functions of such a document are:
Approval of the list of requirements that are presented to the employee;- Distribution of collective responsibilities;
- Specifying the rights and freedoms of employees;
- Establishing a limit of responsibility and the employee’s sphere of influence;
- Assessment of employee qualities.
The instructions include a list of requirements. If an employee does not meet one or more of them, then on the basis of such a discrepancy, management may refuse employment or provoke a dismissal procedure. The instructions may also be used as a basis for disciplinary sanctions for violations.
Writing Basics
Job descriptions are developed based on numerous sources. The most important is a directory of positions for managers, specialists and other employees. It contains qualification requirements for representatives of different professions. Based on the stated qualification characteristics, most of the instructions are drawn up.
In addition, the sources are standards approved in the Russian Federation, rules for operating facilities, and instructions for observing safety precautions.
Activities in warehouse conditions
A warehouse is an important element of the logistics system. It directly affects the flow of goods and the safety of objects. The activities of loaders are aimed not only at filling or reducing inventory. The task of such employees is to maximize the use of warehouse capacity.
Warehouses are designed for storing raw materials, finished products, and components that are used to supply other enterprises or for temporary storage.
Results
Finding a job as a loader is not so difficult, since every enterprise focused on production or trade activities needs his services. To get hired, you will need not only to pass an interview and please your superiors, but also to submit medical documents confirming that your health status meets working conditions. Due to the difficulty of work, workers' wages are high. The activities of a specialist do not imply financial liability. He must perform loading and unloading operations and, at the direction of his superiors, may be involved in a variety of auxiliary activities.
Contents of the instructions
The document can be prepared in one of two ways. The most common option is to use standard instructions for the position of loader. It is considered universal, so it can be used by all workers in a given profession, regardless of the specifics of the enterprise. When hired, the employee is introduced to the contents of the document against signature. The requirement to comply with the instructions is reflected in the list of responsibilities in the contract.
The second option is an individual preparation of DI for the company’s loaders. The document describes in more detail the specifics of performing duties and the nature of interaction with other employees. Such instructions act as an addition to the drawn up contract.
The document must contain the following points:
- General provisions;
- Labor function of the employee;
- Approved responsibilities;
- Rights, penalties for violations.
Such points must be present in the instructions, regardless of which design method is used. If a document form is used that is not approved by the USORD, then it must be approved by a local order of the enterprise management.
