Why is a death certificate required?
A death certificate is an identification document recognized, from the point of view of the law, as an act of civil status. It, like other personal documents, contains identification information about the citizen and data confirming the fact of his death.
Depending on the situation, when resolving legal issues, the certificate may be requested by government agencies: the Pension Fund, the Federal Tax Service, the Bailiff Service and others.
The need to present a document on the death of a citizen arises when the procedure for heirs to enter into inheritance rights is carried out, or when relatives re-register rights of ownership of any property that previously belonged to the deceased. Any other financial and legal transactions may require the presentation of a certificate.
