People originally from the “Soviet Union” probably remember the time when every able-bodied citizen of the USSR was obliged to work for the benefit of society and the state. Features of calculating wages for a disabled person

Calculation of personal income tax for a disabled person provides for the following deductions:

  1. In the amount of five hundred rubles per month. According to subparagraph 2 of paragraph 1 of Article 218 of the Tax Code of Russia, the following have the right to such a deduction:
  • disabled people of groups I and II;
  • disabled since childhood.
  • In the amount of three thousand rubles per month (Tax Code of the Russian Federation, Article 218, paragraph 1, subparagraph 1):
    • liquidators, participants, disabled people and other persons affected by radiation accidents at nuclear facilities and nuclear weapons tests (Chernobyl NPP, Shelter facility, Mayak production association);
    • disabled people of the Second World War;
    • persons who were wounded, maimed or shell-shocked while defending the USSR or the Russian Federation, as a result of which they were assigned disability groups I, II, III.

    The deductions presented above are provided monthly, regardless of the employee’s annual income.

    For disabled people, reduced insurance premium rates are established in accordance with Federal Law No. 212-FZ, Article 58, Part 1, Clause 3 of July 24, 2009, this law applies to:

  • public organizations of disabled people;
  • payer organizations in relation to payments to disabled people of groups I, II or III;
  • enterprises, the authorized capital of which is made up of contributions from public institutions of disabled people, in which the average number of the latter is at least 50%, and the amount of wages of disabled people in the payroll is at least 1/4.

Documentation confirming the disability group

An employee, upon employment, provides the following list of documents as confirmation of a particular disability group:

  • A unique rehabilitation program.
  • A document from the ITU as confirmation of a medical and social examination. After which one or another disability group is established.

The employer will learn from the IPR about the potential employee’s contraindications, whether he is capable of performing the job duties required by the quota position, whether special equipment will be needed to set up the workplace, and whether special conditions need to be created.
