Vacation budget: when and how are vacation pay and pre-vacation wages paid?

Before going on vacation, the employee receives money for the upcoming vacation period. The legislation specifies the maximum time period for their payment relative to the first day of vacation.

Violation of the deadline specified by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation threatens the employer with fines and inspections, and in case of repeated violation, with disqualification. However, funds for the vacation period can be transferred earlier. Payment of salary with vacation pay is permitted, but subject to certain conditions.

A little theory

The entire 19th chapter of the Labor Code (Labor Code of the Russian Federation), which is called “Vacations,” is dedicated to vacations.
Remember that paid leave must be provided to the employee annually. The right to use vacation for the first year of work arises for the employee after six months of continuous work with this employer. But by agreement of the parties, paid leave can be provided to the employee before the expiration of six months (Article 122 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).
