Types of health disorders according to ITU

The examination of workers is regulated in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation No. 664n dated September 29, 2015. It indicates the classification parameters that must be used by the ITU to assess the correspondence of groups of diseases to categories of factors affecting the wear and tear of the body.

ITU specialists must illustrate the picture of the disease as fully as possible in order to properly ensure the continued existence of the employee undergoing examination.

Categories
Categories of violations according to ITU

They take into account the basic types of disorders according to the degree of severity in a particular body system:

  1. Mental disorders: disturbances of consciousness, memory, attention, thinking, volitional and emotional spheres.
  2. Disorders of oral and written speech.
  3. Neurological disorders: disorders of muscle and skeleton functions that limit the body's activity in the environment.
  4. Dysfunction of organs and systems: respiratory, digestive, genitourinary, cardiovascular and others.
  5. Body defects, deformations, disruption of the normal size of organs and body systems.

When considering all functions of the body, the degree of its impairment is expressed as a percentage and is divided into four degrees:

  1. Up to 30%.
  2. Up to 60%.
  3. Up to 80%.
  4. More than 80%.

What is labor intensity

What is the severity of the labor process? This is a load on the entire body during work. Severity is assessed using a list of indicators:

  • dynamic load;
  • what is the maximum weight of cargo moved during a work shift;
  • stereotypical movements when performing production tasks;
  • how much work is being done;
  • what working posture is recorded for the employee when performing a shift assignment;
  • about movements in the workspace.

The characteristic of the labor process includes an indicator of labor intensity. The load affects the emotional part, sensory organs and nervous system.

About tension indicators they say:

  • emotional stress on the body;
  • sensory, that is, lasting for a long time;
  • monotony or sameness of activity;
  • degree of intensity and duration of influence of a negative factor.

How is severity categorized for VTEC?

Based on some studies, the following categories of work have been determined by severity:

  1. If the work is carried out in a favorable environment. Under such circumstances, performance and well-being are maintained during work activity and have a beneficial effect on work.
  2. Compliance with hygiene standards. Regulatory documents indicate established limits for exposure to harmful factors on the body. Compliance with established requirements makes it possible to work without causing harm to health.
  3. If the working conditions are unfavorable, then the condition of muscle tone, vision or hearing worsens.
  4. Working in inappropriate conditions is the root cause of an employee’s pathological condition.
  5. When operating in negative conditions, diseases appear.
  6. After work has begun, the occurrence of pathological changes is noted.

There are only six categories and all of them are determined during a special assessment of the working conditions.

Characteristics of work categories by severity (GOST -88)

Working conditions are a complex of socio-economic, organizational and natural factors of the production environment that affect human health and performance during the work process. Socio-economic factors include regulatory documents (labor laws, norms, standards, etc.), socio-psychological conditions (characterizing the attitude of workers to work, the psychological climate in the team, etc.), social and economic factors (system of benefits and compensation, incentives for improving working conditions). Technical factors are means, objects and instruments of labor, technological processes, organizational forms of production, work and rest regimes, etc. Natural factors determine the nature of the impact on workers of the climatic, geological and biological features of the area where work is carried out. All these factors are interconnected and affect labor productivity, the level of injuries and occupational diseases, that is, the severity of work. Dangerous and harmful production factors directly influence industrial injuries and occupational diseases, and therefore working conditions.

An occupational factor is called hazardous, the impact of which on a worker under certain conditions leads to injury or other sudden sharp deterioration in health. If a production factor leads to illness or decreased performance, then it is considered harmful (GOST 12.0.000-74). Depending on the level and duration of exposure, a harmful occupational factor can become dangerous.

Examples

Examples of the severity of the labor process:

  1. If a citizen works in an office and, based on the assessment, it is revealed that the indicators of illumination, noise, and exposure to electromagnetic radiation are normal, then there is no threat to health in the future.
  2. A turner works at a machine, and measurements have shown that the values ​​of harmful factors do not exceed acceptable values, that is, the state of health will not deteriorate due to being at work.
  3. The citizen is employed as a loader in a store. It is constantly affected by factors such as increased muscle tone and emotional stress. As a result, a person begins to suffer from varicose veins. In this case, it is not difficult to prove the presence of professional education.
  4. When the respiratory system was exposed to increased air pollution at the workplace, an employee was diagnosed with a serious lung disease. Based on the measurements taken, excess levels of carbon monoxide and manganese were established.

An occupational pathologist will be able to determine the severity of an occupational disease, and then a medical commission is created, where a decision is made on assigning a disability group.

Medical and social examination for certain pathologies

Not all diseases accompanied by severe symptoms requiring constant and long-term treatment can guarantee an employee assignment to one or another group.

In the first place among the morbidity rates of citizens of Russia and the rest of the world are diseases of the cardiovascular system. This is influenced by numerous bad habits, stress, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet and environmental pollution.

Therefore, these diseases receive special attention from ITU specialists. For example, hypertension, which often causes restrictions on a person to perform his professional duties.

Hypertonic disease

High blood pressure often occurs spontaneously and is not always felt by the person himself. However, it responds well to modern methods of treatment, which makes it possible to maintain the blood pressure level of a sick person at a normal level. Therefore, hypertension itself is not a necessary factor for establishing the group.

In diseases of the cardiovascular system, it is extremely important to take into account the impact of high blood pressure on other organs and systems, which are also at risk of damage due to its constant influence.

This is expressed, first of all, in damage to the blood vessels of the body, which are the first to suffer from high blood pressure. In the future, because of this, the functions of the brain, heart, kidneys, organs of vision, endocrine glands and other body systems may be disrupted.

The above disorders lead to the development of myocardial infarction, glaucoma, nephropathy, stroke, diabetes, which can already cause the employee to become disabled. Especially if a citizen falls into a high or extremely high risk group for these diseases.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Pathology of the musculoskeletal system is also a common reason for referral to MSE. In particular, rheumatoid arthritis, in which a person’s limb joints are affected, primarily the hands and feet, and then larger ones: knees, elbows, shoulders and hips.

As a result, the citizen loses the ability to live an active life, and therefore to fulfill his professional duties.

ITU specialists record the magnitude and nature of disorders of the bone and cartilage tissue of the joints, the state of the joint fluid and the degree of limitation of limb mobility due to joint deformation.

In the early stages, when the above-mentioned disorders have not reached the criteria for disability, experts recommend specific treatment with all available methods.

In the absence of positive dynamics in treatment, increased pain, decreased joint mobility, up to complete immobilization, recognition of the employee as disabled becomes very likely.

ITU specialists, when deciding whether to grant disability, pay attention only to severe forms of this disease: with severe and constant pain, a hidden paroxysmal course, chronic recurrent pancreatitis, with cystic formations.

What is emotional stress

  3. If the complexity of the work increases, then the responsibility increases.
  4. An indicator of the degree of risk to life is the possible influence of negative factors in the event of unforeseen circumstances, for example, weather conditions.
  5. Responsibility for other employees. If work is performed collectively, then the manager is responsible for the work process.
  6. Conflict situations. Based on the photographs taken of the work shift, the number of conflict situations is determined.
  7. Emotional stress is divided into classes. As an example, the following can be given: if a mechanic works on a site, then his work is classified as auxiliary, there is no risk to his own life, and this worker is not responsible for other persons.
